Barbara Diane Schmidt (maiden name Liles) signed work “B. Di’ Anne” many with copywrite C. She painted/worked in the second wave of American Impressionism, from the 1980s.
 
Born 1944 in Glendale CA, raised in Camarillo CA. Died 2015, Otis Oregon.
 
Worked strictly as a plein-aire impressionist in oil. Studied impressionism under American Impressionist Keith Ward along with workshops under Clyde Aspevig Steamboat Springs CO. Barbara’s career was cut short due to a chronic disease, Muscular Dystrophy.
 
Studied Orange Coast College, University of HI, and UNLV. Member of California Art Club, United Arts Council, Las Vegas Artist Cooperative. Galleries represented Peacock Gallery Scottsdale AZ, Joe Wade Fine Arts Santa Fe NM, Richard Thompson Gallery San Francisco CA, Martin Weekly’s Gallery Carmel CA and many more.
